Not just a heroine but a hero

 #When people say that Joss Whedon is all hype #And completely overrated #And that his writing isn’t actually as genius as I think it is #It annoys me #But even if all that is true #It still doesn’t matter #Because he gave us Buffy #He stood up and declared it was time for women to kick ass #It was time to give girls someone to look up to who was strong and independent #and paved the way for other strong woman to grace out tv screens #And if that’s all he ever did that would be more than enough

Listen, a lot of people give Joss shit for his problems - and there’s valid discussion to be had there, no doubt. But you don’t need to think someone is perfect to think they’re worthy of being your inspiration, and Joss is definitely one of my writing inspirations. I fucking love him, full stop.
