 I like using people’s first names. I prefer it, I feel weird calling people by their usernames.

I’m sorta the same way - if a person prefers to go by their nickname IRL, then I’m cool with that, but it feels more like an actual friendly relationship to use real first names. I know there are a lot of people who aren’t comfortable using their names on the internet, though, so … *shrug*
